
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Universidad de Oriente (1998) and a PhD in Mathematical Sciences from Universidad de la Habana (2007). Postdoctoral research fellow from the Institut Mittag-Leffler, Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Sweden (2007) and postdoctoral researcher from the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics - IMPA (2009-2013). Currently is coordinator of the Graduate Program in Mathematical Modelling at FGV-EMAp. Experienced in Mathematics, with emphasis on Stochastic Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, Stochastic Processes and Stochastic Numerics. Since 2018 is Associate Editor of the journal Applied Numerical Mathematics (APNUM) of the IMACS: International Association for Mathematics and Computers in Simulation.
