Holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1967), a master's degree in Mathematics (1972) and a Doctoral degree in Mathematics (1978) from the National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA), and a post-doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, 1980. She was Director of the School of Applied Mathematics FGV EMAp from 2011 to 2018. Her area of research in Mathematics is qualitative analysis of dynamical systems, with contributions to the topological classification of homogeneous vector fields and its analytic perturbations. She is currently Associate Professor at EMAp.
Areas of interest:
- Dynamic systems
- Topological equivalence classes of analytical vector fields
- Stability of analytical vector fields
