He is currently an Associate Professor at FGV EMAp since August 2023. He was an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) at Purdue University (USA) between January 2020 and July 2023. In 2019, he worked as a Research Associate at the University's Center for Mathematical Sciences from Cambridge (UK) in 2019 and between 2017 and 2019 he did postdoctoral work in Paris at the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST) at the École nationale de la statistique et de l'administration économique (ENSAE). This postdoctoral was funded by the Fondation Mathématique Jacques-Hadamard with a contract by École Polytechnique. Between 2016 and 2017 he did postdoctoral work at the Center for Mathematical Modeling at the University of Chile. In 2019 he was awarded the Dupačová-Prékopa Best Student Paper Prize by the Stochastic Programming Society. He obtained a PhD in applied mathematics from IMPA in 2016, a master's degree in pure mathematics from IMPA in (2010) and a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from ITA in 2007.
